Please join us on May 19, 2012, for 3 great fun runs;

a Half Marathon starting in Sunnyside, Washington,

a 12k starting in Grandview, or a 5k starting in Prosser.

The Half Marathon and 12k runs follow the

Lower Yakima Valley Pathway and travel through

Grandview and finish in Prosser, Washington.

The 5k run travels along the Yakima River and finishes in Prosser.

Sage Rat Run is designed to bring communities together

for a happy healthy fun run event.

Proceeds go to benefit the Ronald McDonald House,

PMH Medical Center, Chinese Children Adoption International, other charities and causes.

The Half Marathon run is approximately 13.1 miles.

The 12k run is approximately 7.4 miles.

The 5k is approximately 3.1 miles.

To get those approximate distances for our runs, we use three different GPS units. These are fun runs, but we try to get the distance as accurate as possible on this mostly flat course.

In exchange for your participation, we will attempt to

entertain you, provide you with your choice of

mens or ladies sized Tech Shirt, and for those

who complete the Half Marathon, the 12k, or the 5k,

a cool Finishing Medal and more.

That’s right, a Finishing Medal for all runs, including the 12k

and 5k. You deserve it. Bragging rights guaranteed.

Our Finishing Medals feature a different design every year.

The 2012 medals are crafted by little rat feet, uniquely made by local rat artisans or their union representatives. We believe that our finishing medals are one of the best and most unique around.

For your entertainment, Cale Moon, will at Sage Rat Run.

Cale's music has been inspired by the greats of old time

country music. He started loving country music,

watching old Roy Rogers movies.

Cale's songs are written from his heart. He hopes that his songs will touch your heart and make you smile.

Every participant has a free Bill’s Berry Farm Blueberry Donut

waiting for them at the finish line.

Giggles is providing gluten free goodies for each participant.

Chef Magana will be making his famous Paella for a $8.00 a

serving at the finish line.

Procrastinators Rejoice?

We are now past the April 10th deadline for early registration.

We are also past the May 1st, deadline.

Rats and Double Rats.

Thank you for those who registered early and kinda late.

The Sage Rats have been working hard with

their little rat feet and are still ahead of schedule on production.

We have made our last order of Tech T Shirts.

We have Tech T Shirts left in limited sizes.

If there is no T Shirt size that appeals to you, choose the no shirt option for a $7.00 reduction on the registration.

The rats still have a number of the custom handmade

Our Rats may go on strike at any time and may not keep up

with production for the late registrations.

We will make every effort to keep the Rats working.

Online registration will be open until 9 pm on May 18, 2012.

We will have registration on the day of the event, May 19,

but you will not be eligible for awards.

Why? For awards we would need your age.

The chip timing people cannot enter your age information for the chip timing on the day of the run. Which means no age and no awards. For those wishing to register on May 19, we will have your time available via a generic name and age.

We will make every effort to ensure you have a Tech T Shirt and Finishing medal but cannot guarantee it.
